My visit to the opposite side of the jungle.
Having just spent 5 months visiting the east side of the jungle (Edenvale) as part of my journey around the massive urban jungle of Gauteng. As a born and bred “North-sider” it was quite unusual to see how people interact with each other on this side. Less high fences, more screeching cars and louder exhausts on motorbikes..but hey. When the teenagers party, they automatically invite the local security company to patrol the hood for rowdy gatecrashers, cos its just expected. Its just been fun.
The next part of my journey sees me at a crossroads.. I have the option of going to help out at the Vervet monkey foundation in Tzaneen for a few months..(Google it.. they are always looking for help) or to check into the Buddhist centre in Blairegowrie, and get in touch with my spiritual centre and become at peace.. which I haven’t been for some time.
There are pro’s and con’s to both decisions, and weighing them up is of-course the big decision.. getting the honey..or getting stung by the bees..
Bears don’t have an easy life..
More soon, maybe once the decision is made..
Aloha forest dwellers..
I spent a year at the vervet monkey foundation and loved it, you may check out my posts for more info if you like.
